Threefold Camera is designed to work without an account, advertising, a social feed or third-party analytics.
Photographs and Live Photos
Camera frames are processed on your iPhone. Threefold requests add-only access to Apple Photos so it can save finished photographs and Live Photos. It does not request permission to browse your complete photo library. When you choose older images for a Strip, Apple’s system photo picker provides only the items you select.
Location
Location is disabled by default. If you explicitly enable it in Settings and grant iOS permission, Threefold can attach your current location to photographs you capture. Location is not sent to Liquyn Labs.
Local app data
Your filter recipes and preferences remain in local app storage. The daily free-capture allowance is stored securely in the iOS Keychain. Recent-capture files are kept in the app’s private container for review and recovery.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Threefold reads Apple-signed entitlement information to unlock Pro. Liquyn Labs does not receive your payment card details.
Event invitations
When you create or join a Wedding, Holiday or Custom Event, its name, kind and random event identifier are stored to provide a shared library. If that Event is active in the camera, each photograph is saved to Apple Photos first and then a lightweight filtered JPEG copy is uploaded. Event copies do not include location metadata. Anyone with the unguessable Event URL can view its invitation and shared photographs, and can join to contribute, so share the link with people you trust. Event content is hosted using Vercel and Vercel Blob.
Data collection
Threefold stores Event names and deliberately shared Event photograph copies only to provide the Event feature. This content is not linked to an account or used for advertising, profiling or tracking. Threefold does not use third-party analytics and does not sell personal data.
